The Build and Design Process

Understanding your business better

After you make your deposit and sign the contract, you’ll get a welcome email that includes links to a shared Google Drive folder. This folder will be the central hub for all project materials, including any necessary guidance documents. We’ll also schedule a chat – whether by phone, Zoom, or in person if you’re nearby – to discuss everything in detail, including styles, content, and any questions you might have.

Design and Build

Get ready for some excitement! After you share all your text and images, I’ll dive into creating an initial homepage mockup for you to check out. Once we finalize everything and make any style adjustments, I’ll begin building the entire site, keeping you updated along the way.

Review and Go LIVE!

Once the site is finished, you’ll have the chance for two reviews before it goes live… hooray! I’ll be here to help manage the site for you afterward.

What do I need to provide to get started?

After an initial Zoom chat or call, I will send over a questionnaire to help you decide on your website needs and requirements.

Once the site requirements have been agreed, the deposit paid and contract signed, you will receive your Welcome email with details on how we will connect and share content throughout the process.

What platform are the sites built on?

All of my clients WordPress sites are built with the Divi builder.

Divi is a marketing-leading WordPress builder and theme that allows me to combine my graphic design and technical skills to build beautiful and functional websites that are scalable for business owners. You can visit the Elegant Themes website here for more information on the Divi platform.

How much does a website cost?

Do you offer copy writing services?

I personally don’t offer copy writing services, but my friend Megan does.

Do you do Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?

I do optimise your website with your relevant keywords, which is part of an SEO strategy. For more extensive SEO work I can refer you to a trusted SEO professional.

Can you manage the website for me after it’s built?

Yes! Of course. If you choose a WordPress website, you will need to choose a website hosting provider. I offer website hosting, so the package will come with the level of support. You can find more information about my hosting here. For anything that falls outside your chosen hosting package, the costs for website management would be charged at my current hourly rate.
